Give the Sex Talk with Ease
A workshop for parents only (with children ages 8 -12)
With the fast-moving advances in technology, kids have access to information in an instant, especially regarding sex and sexuality. Join Heather Hillenbrand, LMFT to learn how to give "the sex talk" in an informed, healthy, supportive way. We will explore making that tough conversation easier with the key elements of vulnerable communication, creating a shame-free environment, understanding body changes and sexual orientation, and guidance with technology. Parents with children ages 8 -12 take this workshop to learn how to make “the talk” an empowering experience of growth and change. There will be time for Q and A throughout. Heather Hillenbrand is a Certified Sex Therapist as well as the Author of two sex education books for parents: A Girl's Magic and A Boy's Magic.
Brave Conversations: This is an empowering workshop for parents to learn how to handle that BIG TALK with your kids. Focus on open communication and bringing it into your home. Parents will walk away with:
• a creative way to approach that tough conversation
• tools and dialogue to keep the conversation going
• more confidence and courage to talk about sex with your kids!
A Girl's Magic: Girls and Mothers gather to learn more about how their bodies function. This workshop is brought right to your home for comfort and ease of communication. Mothers and daughters bond over the most precious topic! Help girls learn about menstruation from a creative, age-appropriate perspective. Mothers will leave with information on how to continue the conversation while girls leave with a goody bag for success during this transition!
